LAKE HAVASU, AZ (March 27, 2016): The 4th and 5th round of the 2016 WORCS Off-road Series was held March 25th and 27th at Lake Havasu, AZ.
SSR Motorsports Factory rider Carrie Anne Killebrew had an up and down race weekend, with a heartbreaking disqualification in Round 4, followed by a well-deserved win in Round 5. Round 4 started out well, with Killebrew setting the pace and leading the majority of the race. Her SSR Motorsports SR250S was running strong and she started the final lap in first place. Not more than 15 feet from the finish she came together with a lapped rider and went down. Carrie Anne was able to remount and went on to finish in sixth place. Unfortunately she was disqualified after it was determined she received outside assistance when picking up her bike. This talented racer wasn’t about to let a little disappointment affect her performance in Round 5.
Two days later, Round 5 of the WORCS was staged on the same Lake Havasu race course. After a first lap fall, Carrie Anne showed the SSR Motorsports SR250S has what it takes to be a competitive race machine by going on to win the event by over one minute. SSR Motorsports is proud to have such a promising up and coming racer proving the speed and durability of her SSR Motorsports SR250S.
SSR Motorsports Factory rider Jeff Willoh had a race to forget at Round 4 of the WORCS. Jeff got a great start, getting the holeshot and leading through the first turn. Not much later, a flat front tire put him out of the race. This was his first DNF of the series, and his previous strong finishes still have him second in the point standings. Jeff is looking forward to getting back to his winning ways on his SSR Motorsports SR450S at the next round of the WORCS, to be held April 15-17, 2016 at the Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, UT.
